“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
On Saturday October 31st, Greek psychologist and author Dimitra Didangelou will be flying in to Berlin to host a very special one-day creative writing workshop.
Combining the joys of writing, nature and personal growth, the workshop will explore and employ the techniques of expressive writing with the aim of enabling you to write freely and without fear of criticism.
We’ll meet at Berlin’s Viktoria Park and, over the course of the afternoon, Dimitra will lead you through a series of writing exercises and prompts that use the natural world to enable you to find your authentic voice, gain new perspectives and discover what is important to you.
Ideal for new writers, if you’re struggling with writers’ block, or just fascinated by what lies beneath the surface of the mind, all you’ll need on the day is a pen, paper, and shoes you can walk in. No previous writing experience necessary. The group will be limited to 10 participants, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot.
What is expressive writing?
Expressive writing is a powerful tool which uses specific techniques to access buried thoughts, feelings and images. By allowing emotions and life experiences to flow out onto paper, we bring balance back into our lives and promote mental wellbeing.
Please note: In the case of a snowstorm or hurricane (this is Berlin, after all), the workshop will be postponed. However, we have a location nearby with a writing space and refreshments which is ready to welcome us in the case of showers or if we need to warm up.
